The use of new technologies has changed the way we live. In fact, these advance much faster than we as humans are able to assimilate. This is also extrapolable to cyberattacks, which are becoming increasingly complex and frequent.

Making cybersecurity a strategic priority for all types of organizations, regardless of their size or sector.

Research and development (R & D), the key tool for getting ahead of the future, comes into play here so that we can take a more proactive approach. Through research and development we can prevent, understand and minimize possible attacks.

From the BeOneSec Chair in Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence we have a strong commitment to research and the development of innovative solutions to help us respond to the challenges of the present, but also of the future.

Why cyberintelligence is essential.

As we like to explain from BeOneSec, intelligence is the ability to choose between several options. Based on this, we understand cyberintelligence as the ability to collect, analyze and act on information related to cyberattacks.

This makes cybersecurity R&D a strategic place. Beyond the possibility of detecting threats, we also analyze the context to prevent possible future attacks and thus design more effective responses.

Cyberintelligence focuses on turning data into information useful for informed decision-making capable of minimizing risks.

In cybersecurity R&D means creating more advanced tools, but also understanding profusely the behavior behind possible attacks to be able to get ahead of them.

Our commitment to cybersecurity research.

From this Chair of Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence BeOneSec we seek to be a bridge between the educational environment with the support of the University of Seville and the industry with BeOneSec, developing projects that generate a real impact on the cybertranquility of society.

To this end, we develop initiatives with which we seek to identify key areas in which to focus our research, encourage the formation of specialized talent and promote collaboration between organizations and agents. In addition, all this knowledge collected will be shared in technological and outreach forums to contribute to the development of other initiatives that can benefit from the knowledge already generated.

If we are clear about anything, it is that innovation is collaborative. No single agent can address all the challenges of cybersecurity. Therefore, we are open to collaborations with other actors looking for a partner such as the Chair of Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence BeOneSec to identify priorities in cybersecurity and cyberintelligence by proposing solutions to specific challenges.

To achieve this, we know that it is essential to have the talent that will lead the way in the future and to do so we will offer initiation grants to research and design academic projects focused on cybersecurity.

Innovation as an investment in the future.

Betting on cybersecurity and cyberintelligence research is no longer just a response to current needs, it is a strategic investment in the future. This investment goes beyond the protection of data and systems. Cybersecurity drives resilience and marks how we can make efficient and appropriate use of new technologies by contributing to the development of a safer environment.

At the BeOneSec Chair in Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence, we firmly believe that progress in cybersecurity is only possible with the collaboration and commitment of all actors involved. Therefore, we invite companies, institutions, professionals and any other actors interested in joining our initiatives to work together to build a safer future.
