On June 4, 5 and 6, from the BeOneSec Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence Chair we took part in the 10th National Cybersecurity Conference 2025 which took place in Zaragoza.

These conferences have become a benchmark in the academic and scientific field of cybersecurity, as they represent a space for connection, exchange and learning between universities, research centers, companies and society as a whole.

They are an essential meeting point to continue building a culture of security based on knowledge, research and collaboration among all agents.

A showcase for research.

One of the pillars of the NCCC is its platform for the latest scientific advances in cybersecurity. Thus, during these three days, cutting-edge research was shared, methodological approaches were discussed, and high-value works were presented.

In our case, from the University of Seville, we had the opportunity to present one of the projects developed within the framework of the BeOneSec Chair in Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence.

This was the work entitled “Training experiences in cybersecurity using captive portals” defended by Francisco José Fernández-Jiménez.

This work with a divulgative and educational soul, in which high school students participated in a practical phishing detection exercise so that, through direct experience, they could become directly aware of the existing digital risks and thus understand the need to acquire basic knowledge in cybersecurity.

And it is that this type of action, in addition to training, helps us to awaken vocations and bring cybersecurity closer to non-specialized contexts, which is fundamental if we want to build a more secure society, prepared for the threats of the future.

Connect, share and grow in cybersecurity.

Our participation in these events allowed us to connect with other universities, researchers, and industry professionals with whom we share a vision, concerns, and a desire to move forward together in the pursuit of cybersecurity.

Events like these demonstrate to us that cybersecurity is constantly evolving and that it needs this collective talent, critical thinking, and spaces where ideas can be tested and transformed into real solutions.
